Clarification
Type 1 is a professional person-grade, traditional, nonflammable, organic adhesive for setting impervious, vitreous, semivitreous and nonvitreous tile over gypsum drywall (walls only), cement board, outside-course plywood, concrete and masonry block. This adhesive is used for interior applications only. Type i meets or exceeds ANSI A136.1, Type 1 requirements.

Yes I used it for a our backsplash in the kitchen and it worked great ! I did fill whatever holes left over from stripping off the one-time tiles and sanded it a bit .

Product worked as intended, texture and adherence to wall was slap-up but this non your product if y'all want to consummate your tile project in one weekend. As per manufacturer'south transmission you need to let it dry for 72 hrs. I will recommend this product if y'all are non in a rush, you are non an experience person installing tile and you like to have your time to set your tile. The lengthy drying time allows y'all to piece of work at your own footstep and make adjustments on the get if necessary with no blitz. Pros: Prepare to use, no need to mix. Cons: drying time if you lot are in a rush.

What I like: Reasonably priced Coverage is as labeled No harmful VOCs, and actually smells pleasant plenty Handles like heavy cake frosting, stays exactly where information technology's troweled No-sag stiffness once applied Works well when patching irregularities before tiling; small holes, even preparing patched sections. Tiles up to 6x6 stay where start put on wall, no sagging Cleanup is piece of cake on tools, tiles and fifty-fifty when y'all get some on your skin. The under flooring was terrible rough, known to flex in areas (worse with smaller tile): so I didn't desire a product that cracks or small tile. It set like a tough caulk. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had nigh a 45 sq ft backsplash in my kitchen to tile, and decided to go with this, to avert waste and make clean up easier. I am so glad that I did. The hold is strong, just you have fourth dimension to piece of work with it. I did this over the course of several days, so I am glad that I could just close the lid and then open up it and start again as I was able. Definitely recommend!

The adhesive spread hands and evenly, put up natural stone mosaic tile one morning, didn't check until the next morning, but definitely secured past then.

Rated 5 out of five by Almiel from Keeps tile nice and stuck! I used it for around my raised hearth. It was sticky and held everything in place! I still lightly back buttered all my tiles. I had to use it in a state of affairs where I couldn't put support underneath on the left and right side, so in that location was about 1/eight" slippage/weight fall(?) on those ends. Aught noticeable, because it is tile that looks similar natural brick. 99% of other applications you lot wont be installing over a gap! It did take a bit of a scent though. (As would any thinset or Mastic) I've only used ane other Modified Thinset; Laticrete 254 Platinum for the fireplace confront surround itself (because of high heat tolerance). And then that'southward my merely comparison! I'm a 30yo woman who was able to utilize information technology and tile by myself. First ever tiling project! Cost is awesome for how well it works! Grout used was the Laticrete Permacolor in White.

I do ordinarily mix the thin-set myself but for a quick demand and when just a little more than volition end the job I apply the pre-mixed. This material is adept for well-nigh types of tiles, backsplash etc. This saves me time and waste product.
